intelligent Data is a powerful, flexible database system used to securely store tables information. These might be lists of employees, customers, contact histories, contracts, assets, stock items, branches, franchises, sites or any other entity that the operator needs real-time information on in order to correctly process an interaction.

iData enhances its underlying Microsoft SQL Server technology in 3 key areas:

• The tight integration with iDesktop ensures that these tables can be automatically searched to easily provide relevant information to the operator during a call, without them even necessarily knowing that they are using an underlying database

• Advanced data type definitions, such as 'postcode', ‘grid reference’, 'mobile phone number with SMS⁶ capability' and 'email address' ensure that applications can be rapidly built with components that the system can understand and readily utilise in a relevant fashion

• Due to advanced replication technology and an ‘always-on’ wide area network, every database defined is automatically kept up-to-date and synchronised across every contact centre that is servicing each clients’ applications
